and may all be Accomplished and Completed
in Your Most Holy Divine Will.

WE BELIEVE, WE RECEIVE!

St. Louis De Montfort on The Role Blessed Virgin Mary and the Saint’s of the Last Days – Feast 4/28

Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort included a chapter on Mary’s role in the last days which stressed the necessity of appealing to Her intercession in order to combat the forces of Satan.

He believes that the latter days will be marked by steadily increasing periods of persecution of Christians that will not end until the time of the Antichrist and explains Genesis 3:15 in light of these persecutions:

51. It is chiefly in reference to these last wicked persecutions of the devil, daily increasing until the advent of the reign of anti-Christ, that we should understand that first and well-known prophecy and curse of God uttered against the serpent in the garden of paradise. It is opportune to explain it here for the glory of the Blessed Virgin, the salvation of her children and the confusion of the devil. “I will place enmities between you and the woman, between your race and her race; she will crush your head and you will lie in wait for her heel” (Gen. 3:15).

52. God has established only one enmity – but it is an irreconcilable one – which will last and even go on increasing to the end of time. That enmity is between Mary, his worthy Mother, and the devil, between the children and the servants of the Blessed Virgin and the children and followers of Lucifer.

Thus the most fearful enemy that God has set up against the devil is Mary, his holy Mother. From the time of the earthly paradise, although she existed then only in his mind, he gave her such a hatred for his accursed enemy, such ingenuity in exposing the wickedness of the ancient serpent and such power to defeat, overthrow and crush this proud rebel, that Satan fears her not only more than angels and men but in a certain sense more than God himself. This does not mean that the anger, hatred and power of God are not infinitely greater than the Blessed Virgin’s, since her attributes are limited. It simply means that Satan, being so proud, suffers infinitely more in being vanquished and punished by a lowly and humble servant of God, for her humility humiliates him more than the power of God. Moreover, God has given Mary such great power over the evil spirits that, as they have often been forced unwillingly to admit through the lips of possessed persons, they fear one of her pleadings for a soul more than the prayers of all the saints, and one of her threats more than all their other torments.

He explains that in the days leading to the Antichrist, a powerful group will emerge from among the clergy which, through their devotion to Mary, will be granted special powers to fight Satan:

56. But what will they be like, these servants, these slaves, these children of Mary?
They will be ministers of the Lord who, like a flaming fire, will enkindle everywhere the fires of divine love. They will become, in Mary’s powerful hands, like sharp arrows, with which she will transfix her enemies.

58. They will be true apostles of the latter times to whom the Lord of Hosts will give eloquence and strength to work wonders and carry off glorious spoils from his enemies. They will sleep without gold or silver and, more important still, without concern in the midst of other priests, ecclesiastics and clerics. Yet they will have the silver wings of the dove enabling them to go wherever the Holy Spirit calls them, filled as they are with the resolve to seek the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Wherever they preach, they will leave behind them nothing but the gold of love, which is the fulfillment of the whole law.

59. Lastly, we know they will be true disciples of Jesus Christ, imitating his poverty, his humility, his contempt of the world and his love. They will point out the narrow way to God in pure truth according to the holy Gospel, and not according to the maxims of the world. Their hearts will not be troubled, nor will they show favour to anyone; they will not spare or heed or fear any man, however powerful he may be. They will have the two-edged sword of the word of God in their mouths and the blood-stained standard of the Cross on their shoulders. They will carry the crucifix in their right hand and the rosary in their left, and the holy names of Jesus and Mary on their heart. The simplicity and self-sacrifice of Jesus will be reflected in their whole behaviour.

He also tells us:

47. “….towards the end of the world, ….Almighty God and His holy Mother are to raise up saints who will surpass in holiness most other saints as much as the cedars of Lebanon tower above little shrubs.”

48. “These great souls filled with grace and zeal will be chosen to oppose the enemies of God who are raging on all sides. They will be exceptionally devoted to the Blessed Virgin. Illumined by her light, strengthened by her spirit, supported by her arms, sheltered under her protection, they will fight with one hand and build with the other. With one hand they will give battle, overthrowing and crushing heretics and their heresies, schismatics and their schisms, idolaters and their idolatries, sinners and their wickedness. With the other hand they will build the temple of the true Solomon and the mystical city of God, namely, the Blessed Virgin… “

57. “They will be like thunderclouds flying through the air at the slightest breath of the Holy Spirit. Attached to nothing, surprised at nothing, they will shower down the rain of God’s word and of eternal life. They will thunder against sin; they will storm against the world; they will strike down the devil and his followers and for life and for death, they will pierce through and through with the two-edged sword of God’s word all those against whom they are sent by Almighty God.”

49. “Mary scarcely appeared in the first coming of Christ… But in the second coming of Jesus Christ, Mary must be known and openly revealed by the Holy Spirit so that Jesus may be known, loved and served through her.”

Luisa’s Transit into Heaven – 3/4

From the Book of Heaven – V26 – Apr. 7, 1929 – “Look and listen, My daughter Luisa: in the beginning, when Adam and Eve were Created, Eden was given to them as their Dwelling, in which they were Happy and Holy. This Garden (where Luisa lived in the orphanage founded by St. Annibale in Corato)is a simile of that Eden, though it is not as Beautiful and Flowery. Now, Know that I have permitted your coming to this house, that is surrounded by a garden, for you to be the New Eve; not Eve the tempter, who deserved to be put out of Happy Eden, but Eve the Reformer and the Restorer, who will call again the Kingdom of My Divine Will upon earth.
“Ah! Yes, you Luisa will be the Seed, the Cement on the woodworm that the human will has; you Luisa will be the Beginning of a New Happy Era, and this is why I Centralize in you Luisa the Joy, the Goods, the Happiness of the Beginning of Creation, and I Love to Repeat the Conversations, the Lessons, the Instructions that I would have given if man had not withdrawn from Our Divine Will. Therefore, be Attentive, and let your Flight in It be Continuous.”

V12 – Jan. 7, 1921 – “My daughter Luisa, do you see how much I Love you? I Wanted to Fill All your heart with the Milk of Grace and of Love; so, everything you will say and do, will be nothing other than the Outpouring of the Grace with which I Filled you. You will do nothing – you will just place your volition at the Mercy of My Will, and I will do Everything. You will be nothing but the Sound of My Voice, the Bearer of My Will, the Destroyer of the Virtues in a human manner, and the Restorer of the Virtues in a Divine Manner, which are Founded on an Eternal, Immense, Infinite Point.”

Acts 3:19-21 – Be penitent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out. That when the Times of Refreshment shall come from the Presence of the Lord, and He shall send Him who hath been preached unto you, Jesus Christ, Whom Heaven indeed Must receive, until the times of the Restitution of all things, which God hath Spoken by the mouth of His holy prophets, from the beginning of the world.

V2 – Oct. 7, 1899 – “My beloved Luisa, for now it is not necessary to make you understand the purpose of your state for yourself and for the peoples, but I will show it to you when you come to Heaven, and on the Day of Judgment I will show it to all nations.”

V4 – May 18, 1900 – “Be cheered, do not fear, try to fill your interior with Me, and to stuff it with all virtues, to the point of overflowing outside; and when you come to make this overflow, then will I take you to Heaven, and all your Privations will end.”

V22 – June 20, 1927 – “So, when you come to the Celestial Fatherland, Luisa, your Love will not depart from the earth, but will continue to Love in each creature. Therefore, even from Now, My Divine Fiat makes you Extend your Love to the past, to the present and to the future, to give you the Right that your Love may Extend Everywhere and to All Times, and it may Never cease to Love. Here is the Great Difference between One Who Lives in My Will and one who lives outside of It.”

THE LAST WORDS OF LUISA PICCARRETA,

HER SPIRITUAL TESTIMONY

“Now I die with Greater Contentment, because the Divine Will has Consoled me more than usual

with Its Presence in these last few moments of my life.

Now I see a Long, Beautiful and Spacious Road, all Illuminated by an Infinite number of Resplendent Suns –

Oh, yes, I recognize them! They are all my Acts done in the Divine Will!

This is the Road that I Must Now take; it is the Road that the Divine Will has Prepared for me.

It’s the Road of my Victory: it’s the Way of my Glory,

which will Unite me with the Immense Happiness of the Divine Will.

“It’s my Road; it’s the Road that I have Prepared for you.

It’s the Road that I will keep Reserved for all the souls who will ever want to Live in the Divine Will.”

SAINT SCHOLASTICA, VIRGIN (543 A.D.)

File:Andrea Mantegna 019.jpg

SAINT SCHOLASTICA

Virgin

St. Scholastica was the twin sister of St. Benedict, the Patriarch of Western monasticism. She was born in Umbria, Italy, about 480. Under Benedict’s direction, Scholastica founded a community of nuns near the great Benedictine monastery Monte Cassino. We are told that Scholastica “could be sated or wearied with the words of grace which flowed from St. Benedict’s lips.” Inspired by Benedict’s teaching, his sister devoted her whole life to seeking and serving God. St. Scholastica died in the peace of Christ in the year 547. Tradition holds that at her death her soul ascended to heaven in the form of a dove.

Brethren: He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord. For he is not approved who commends himself, but he whom the Lord commends. Would to God that you could bear with a little of my foolishness! Nay, do bear with me! For I am jealous for you with a divine jealousy. For I betrothed you to one spouse, that I might present you a chaste virgin to Christ.

GOSPEL
Continuation of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
R. Glory be to Thee, O Lord.
Matt 25:1-3
At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples: Then will the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom and the bride. Five of them were foolish and five wise. But the five foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, while the wise did take oil in their vessels with the lamps. Then as the bridegroom was long in coming, they all became drowsy and slept. And at midnight a cry arose, ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming, go forth to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ The wise answered, saying, ‘Lest there may not be enough for us and for you, go rather to those who sell it, and buy some for yourselves.’ Now while they were gone to buy it, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Finally there came also the other virgins, who said, ‘Sir, sir, open the door for us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Amen I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

May this sacrifice of Thy dedicated people be accepted by Thee, O Lord, in honor of Thy Saints: to whose merits we attribute the help afforded us in tribulation. Through our Lord . . .

Letter from Luisa – Here I am to give you my wishes for Holy Christmas.

  1. To Mother Cecilia

Fiat

My good and reverend Mother…

Here I am to give you my wishes for Holy Christmas.  And what better wish to give you than to send you little Jesus, so that He may make you be born together with Him?  Oh, how He longs for it, and comes to the point of crying, because He does not want to be alone, but wants the creature to be born and live together with Him.  The dear Baby will say to you, to the ear of your heart:  “My daughter, let me live in you; do everything together with Me, and I will give you my Sanctity to make you a saint, my Beauty to embellish you, my Wisdom so that everything may be order within you.  Then I will give you the great gift of My Will to let you breathe, palpitate, love, together with Me.”… He will tell you:  “Only then will I be content, when I see that you look like Me in everything.”

My dearest Mother, let us make Jesus content; let us be reborn with Him and live together with Him.  He is newly born, and does not want to be alone; He feels the need of the company of someone to kiss Him and to dry His tears.  My Mother, this is my wish; I believe that your Maternity will be content… More so, since every additional act we do in the Divine Will is a new birth for us.  We are reborn in Jesus, and He in us.  In this way we will make little Jesus happy.

Leaving you to be reborn together with Jesus, I kiss your right hand.

The little daughter of the Divine Will.

Our Lady of Guadalupe – Dec. 12

Our culture is in darkness, but we know that
God’s grace and light pierce the darkness of sin
to bring life and hope through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Volume 15; December 8, 1922

Our Lord:  …”Here, then, is the reason why We (Triune God) constituted Her (Blessed Mother) Queen of all; because when We operate, We do it with reason, wisdom and justice:  She never gave life to Her human will, but Our Will was always intact in Her.  How could We say to another creature:  ‘You are Queen of the heavens, of the sun, of the stars, etc.’, if instead of having Our Will as dominion, she were dominated by her human will?  All the elements, the heavens, the sun, the earth, would have withdrawn from the regime and dominion of this creature.  All would have cried out in their mute language:  ‘We do not want her, we are superior to her, because we have never withdrawn from Your Eternal Volition – as You created us, so we are’.  So would the sun have cried out with its light, the stars with their twinkling, the sea with its waves, and everything else.  On the contrary, as soon as they (all Creation) all felt the dominion of this excelling Virgin (Blessed Mother) who, almost as their sister, never wanted to know Her own will, but only that of God, not only did they make feast, but they felt honored to have their Queen, and they ran around Her to form Her cortege and to pay obsequies to Her – the moon, by placing itself as footstool at Her feet; the stars as crown, the sun as diadem, the Angels as servants, and men as though in waiting.  Everyone – everyone paid Her honor and rendered their obsequies to Her.  There is no honor and glory which cannot be given to Our Will – whether acting within Us, in Its own center, or dwelling in the creature.

The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
December 12, 2019
“I am the merciful Mother of all mankind.  Am I not your hope?”
Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego

In contrast to the Culture of Death with its loss of life and hope, St. John Paul II called Our Lady of Guadalupe the Mother of Hope and the Mother and Evangelizer of America.
He went on to say, “Now is the time of the New Evangelization to lead the People of God in America to cross the threshold of the third millennium with renewed hope.” Our culture is in darkness, but we know that God’s grace and light pierce the darkness of sin to bring life and hope through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
As we celebrate the end of our 28th anniversary of Visitations of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we continue to see that Our Lady of Guadalupe brings us hope!

Am I Not Your Hope?

Our Lady of Guadalupe said to St. Juan Diego, “Am I not your hope?” Mary is the Mother of Hope. She is the Mother of Jesus Christ who is our hope and brings life as the conqueror of despair and death. Through her, we should have the confident expectation of divine blessings such as the closing of abortion centers, conversions, healings and the manifestations of heartbeats in the Image and Holy Glitter on it. That is hope!

Saint Juan Diego – Dec. 9

Saint Juan Diego’s Story

Thousands of people gathered in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe July 31, 2002, for the canonization of Juan Diego, to whom the Blessed Mother appeared in the 16th century. Pope John Paul II celebrated the ceremony at which the poor Indian peasant became the Church’s first saint indigenous to the Americas.

The Holy Father called the new saint “a simple, humble Indian” who accepted Christianity without giving up his identity as an Indian. “In praising the Indian Juan Diego, I want to express to all of you the closeness of the Church and the pope, embracing you with love and encouraging you to overcome with hope the difficult times you are going through,” John Paul said. Among the thousands present for the event were members of Mexico’s 64 indigenous groups.

First called Cuauhtlatohuac (“The eagle who speaks”), Juan Diego’s name is forever linked with Our Lady of Guadalupe because it was to him that she first appeared at Tepeyac hill on December 9, 1531. The most famous part of his story is told in connection with the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12. After the roses gathered in his tilma were transformed into the miraculous image of Our Lady, however, little more is said about Juan Diego.

In time he lived near the shrine constructed at Tepeyac, revered as a holy, unselfish. and compassionate catechist who taught by word and especially by example.

During his 1990 pastoral visit to Mexico, Pope John Paul II confirmed the long-standing liturgical cult in honor of Juan Diego, beatifying him. Twelve years later he was proclaimed a saint.
