Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes – Feb. 11

February 11 – Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes
On December 8, 1854, Pope Pius IX proclaimed the dogma of the Immaculate Conception in the apostolic constitution Ineffabilis Deus. A little more than three years later, on February 11, 1858, a young Lady appeared to Bernadette Soubirous. This began a series of visions. During the apparition on March 25, the Lady identified Herself with the words: “I am the Immaculate Conception.”

From the OUR LADY OF AMERICA booklet(below) – the 11th of 12 Ways Our Lady Appeared:
“Our Lady of Lourdes” (The Immaculate Conception) – “I had another of those “experiences” of which you have already heard, Father, many times. Though I had not at that time been thinking of Her, She suddenly appeared at my side. This person was none other than St. Bernadette. She did not come as a Sister but as the little peasant girl who saw “The Lady”. I was transported, somehow, with her, to the Lourdes Grotto in France. We stood a short distance away from it looking up into the niche which was filled with Light. In the midst of this brilliant Light I saw “The Lady” (the Immaculate Conception), so Beautiful, so Glowing, as it were, in Light that I could scarcely see the outline of Her figure. It was Brighter than any light I have ever seen. It was a Light All-Heavenly and Full of Glory. I was transfixed. Then suddenly the figure of Our Lady seemed to dissolve in the Light but the Brilliant Light itself remained. Then I saw a path, at times it seemed to take the form of steps, leading upwards from the niche where “The Lady” had been standing. Every so often as I gazed at this Luminous Pathway, I caught a glimpse of Angels. I was anxious to follow the Path of Light and as I eagerly endeavored to do so, Bernadette held me back. Then I exclaimed, “But I want to go there.” The Saint answered, “No, my sister, it is not yet time for you, but it will be soon.” (Sister to Rev. Leibold 4/12/58)

“Our Lady has asked that a statue be made as she Appeared on the Sept. 26th, 1956 (Pictured on cover – Our Lady of America). After being solemnly carried in procession in the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Wash. D.C., She desires that there it be enshrined in the place of honor and to be venerated there, in a special way as ‘Our Lady of America, the Immaculate Virgin’. It is at this Shrine She has Promised to Work Wonders. She Desires also that a small statue or picture of this same likeness be honored in every home.”

Our Lady of America’s Request of 64 years ago remains, to have Her Bishops process Her statue into Her Basilica in Washington D.C. and give Her a place of honor there. “I come to you, O children of America, as a last resort. I Plead with you to listen to My Voice.” (Sister to Rev. Leibold 11/15/56)

Also on Feb 11 – Our Lady of All Nations to Ida Peerdeman in 1951
The “Lady of All Nations” apparitions took place from 1945 to 1959 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to the visionary Ida Peerdeman. On May 31, 2002, the apparitions received local Church approval when Bishop Josef Punt of Haarlem-Amsterdam officially declared the essence of the apparitions and messages “to consist of a supernatural origin.”

On February 11, 1951, the Lady of All Nations dictates to the seer a new prayer directed to Jesus, beseeching him to for a New Pentecost through the Advocacy of Mary, in order to prevent “degeneration, disasters and war.”

Lord, Jesus Christ,
Son of the Father,
Send now your spirit over the earth.
Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations,
That they may be preserved from degeneration, disasters, and war.
May the Lady of All Nations, the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Be our Advocate. Amen.

Further instructions from Our Lady direct that this “Prayer of the Lady of All Nations” should be spread throughout the world in preparation for the new dogma.

“I stand here and come to tell you that I wish to be Mary, the Lady of All Nations. Look carefully. I am standing before the Cross of the Redeemer. My head, hands and feet as of a human being, as of the Son of Man; the body as of the Spirit. I have firmly placed my feet upon the globe, for in this time the Father and the Son wants to bring me into this world as Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate. This will be the new and final Marian dogma. This image will precede. This dogma will be much disputed, yet it will be carried through…”

The single most significant message of the entire Amsterdam apparitions concerning the dogma occurs on May 31, 1954, at that time, the feast of Mary, Mediatrix of all Graces. Our Lady will invoke theologians and bishops (apostles) to work and ask for the dogma, instructing them that “you must petition the Holy Father for this Dogma.” Our Lady will grant a vision which explains the three titles in one whole; a further vision of the Holy Father in St. Peter’s Basilica pronouncing the dogma; as well as the promise that once the dogma is declared, the Lady of All Nations will bring peace, true peace, to the world.

Perhaps Our Lady of America is awaiting Her procession in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC as She requested of Her children of the United States as Her “last resort”, to then grant the Grace for the fulfillment of Her Wishes at Fatima (Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart) and the 5th Dogma – Mediatrix, Co-Redemptrix and Advocate!!
THE FIRST REQUEST IS TO HER BISHOPS OF THE USA, THE NEXT TWO ARE TO THE HOLY FATHER!

LET’S NOT FORGET:

“Do not fear, I will do everything;
give Me your will – this is enough for Me”

“Do not fear, little by little we
will do everything. I Myself know how weak you are,
but it is from Me that you must draw strength.”

“Pluck up courage, do not fear
– it is not you who shall do it,
but I Myself shall operate in you.”

Veni Creator Spiritus January 1

Tomorrow, 1 January, you can gain a plenary indulgence by reciting the prayer Veni, Creator Spiritus.  On other days, the indulgence is partial.

Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
and in our souls take up Thy rest;
come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
to fill the hearts which Thou hast made.
O comforter, to Thee we cry,
O heavenly gift of God Most High,
O fount of life and fire of love,
and sweet anointing from above.

Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known;
Thou, finger of God’s hand we own;
Thou, promise of the Father, Thou
Who dost the tongue with power imbue.

Kindle our sense from above,
and make our hearts o’erflow with love;
with patience firm and virtue high
the weakness of our flesh supply.

Far from us drive the foe we dread,
and grant us Thy peace instead;
so shall we not, with Thee for guide,
turn from the path of life aside.

Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow
the Father and the Son to know;
and Thee, through endless times confessed,
of both the eternal Spirit blest.

Now to the Father and the Son,
Who rose from death, be glory given,
with Thou, O Holy Comforter,
henceforth by all in earth and heaven. Amen.

Te Deum

A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who recite the Te Deum in thanksgiving and a plenary indulgence is granted if the hymn is recited publicly on the last day of the year.

O God, we praise Thee,
and acknowledge Thee to be the supreme Lord.
Everlasting Father, all the earth worships Thee.
All the Angels, the heavens and all angelic powers,
All the Cherubim and Seraphim, continuously cry to Thee:
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts!
Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty of Thy glory.
The glorious choir of the Apostles,
The wonderful company of Prophets,
The white-robed army of Martyrs, praise Thee.
Holy Church throughout the world acknowledges Thee:
The Father of infinite Majesty;
Thy adorable, true and only Son;
Also the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.
O Christ, Thou art the King of glory!
Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father.
When Thou tookest it upon Thyself to deliver man,
Thou didst not disdain the Virgin’s womb.
Having overcome the sting of death,
Thou opened the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.
Thou sitest at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father.
We believe that Thou willst come to be our Judge.
We, therefore, beg Thee to help Thy servants whom
Thou hast redeemed with Thy Precious Blood.
Let them be numbered with Thy Saints in everlasting glory.

V. Save Thy people, O Lord, and bless Thy inheritance!
R. Govern them, and raise them up forever.

V. Every day we thank Thee.
R. And we praise Thy Name forever, yes, forever and ever.

V. O Lord, deign to keep us from sin this day.
R. Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us.

V. Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
for we have hoped in Thee.

R. O Lord, in Thee I have hoped; let me never be put to shame.

The last seven days of Christmas contain the seven “O Antiphons.”

The “O’s” of Advent are the great gems of liturgical song which are sung each evening at the “Magnificat” at Vespers, from December 17 to December 23. Addressing Christ with seven magnificent titles, they beg Him to come to save His people.

Each O antiphon addresses Christ using a Messianic title drawn from the prophecies of the Old Testament. Read backwards, the initials of each title in Latin form the words Cras ero or “Tomorrow I shall be (with you)”.

Sapientia (Wisdom)
Adonai (Holy Lord)
Radix Jesse (Root of Jesse)
Clavis David (Key of David)
Oriens (Dayspring or Morning Star)
Rex Gentium (King of the Nations)
Emmanuel (God-with-us)

Dec. 17–O WISDOM, who came from the mouth of the Most High, reaching from end to end and ordering all things mightily and sweetly– COME! and teach us the way of prudence.

Dec. 18–O HOLY LORD of the House of Israel, who appeared to Moses in the flame of the burning bush, and gave him the law on Sinai– COME! and redeem us with outstretched arm.

Dec. 19–O ROOT OF JESSE, who stands for an ensign of the people, before whom kings shall keep silence, and unto whom the Gentiles shall make supplication– COME! to deliver us, and tarry not.

Dec. 20–O KEY OF DAVID, and Sceptre of the House of Israel, who opens and no man shuts, who shuts, and no man opens– COME! and bring forth the captive from his prison, he who sits in darkness and in the shadow of death.

Dec. 21–O DAYSPRING, brightness of the light eternal, and Sun of Justice- COME! and enlighten them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.

Dec. 22–O KING OF THE NATIONS and their desired One, the Cornerstone that makes both one– COME! and deliver man, whom You formed out of the dust of the earth.

Dec. 23–O EMMANUEL, our King and Lawgiver, the expected of the nations and their Savior– COME! to save us, O Lord our God.

TRUE DOCTOR

Here is where Luisa tells Aunt Rosaria to go to the TRUE DOCTOR. From Fr. Bucci’s book A Collection of Memories of the Servant of God to Aunt Rosaria, faithful custodian of the life of The Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta.

Padre Bucci wrote: My aunt, urged by my mother, consulted a dermatologist in Bari. The diagnosis was terrible: “Dear lady“, the doctor said to her. “these are cancerous sores which will spread increasingly over your whole body. You have a form of leprosy, a very rare disease“. Just imagine my aunt’s state of mind on hearing these words. After wandering about in Bari for several hours, in the evening she returned to Luisa’s house. Aunt Rosaria gave vent to her feelings with the Servant of God and said to her with irritation: “I’m with you all the time, and yet do you allow certain things? I have no children to take care of me.“. Luisa let her speak and then said to her, “Rosaria, Rosaria… you have gone round all these doctors and you have neglected the one true doctor“. On hearing these words, my aunt immediately took all the medicines, gauze and cotton wool, and flung them away, from the balcony (this happened in the house in the Via Maddalena, where they then lived). Then she said: I now entrust myself to Our Lord and to your prayers. Before she went to bed, Luisa called her, made her kneel beside her bed and together they spent a long time praying. My aunt then went to bed. She slept in a double bed beside Angelina. That night, Aunt Rosaria felt her body flooded with a sense of well-being. When she rose the next morning, she found that all her sores had dried up; they were covered only by thin scabs which came off during the day: she was perfectly cured. Rumors of the miracle spread, but no one dared to speak of it openly although everyone knew that Luisa had had a hand in it. The reason for this was that Luisa did not want these phenomena to be attributed to her. I cannot work miracles, it is Our Lord who does them“, she asserted. This is why no extraordinary episode that occurred through her intervention was made public; all the same, news of such matters spread in silence.

Abba Father,
In the Name of Jesus
in Union with Power and Love of the Holy Spirit,
Under the Mantle of Mary, Our Mother and Queen
with all the Angels and Saints
And through the intercession of The Servant of God
Luisa Piccarreta and little Rosaria Bucci,

Dearest Jesus, we have been searching in vein
for cures and remedies for all illnesses.

We have neglected to ask You,
the Great Physician, for Divine Healing.
We daily listen to Your teachings and directions from
Luisa Piccarreta and we humbly come before you
begging Forgiveness and Clemency
for not Trusting in You completely.

We entrust ourselves to You, O Jesus,
in the name of everyone and everything
past, present, and future for Your Divine Healing
as You O God have promised.

So, we now ask You O Jesus for Your Divine Healing!
Your Divine Healing that You so abundantly
want to pour upon us,
Your little children of the Divine Will.

Depart cancer and all illnesses
of body, mind, and soul
in the Name of Jesus!

Fill now that void with
The Powerful Divine Healing of Jesus,
Our Lord, Master and King!

On our knees we humbly and graciously,
Thank You Almighty God for Your Divine Healing!
Please take this, our little prayer
and make it Your Command.

That All may be Accomplished and Completed
in Your Most Holy Divine Will.

We Believe
We Receive
So be it!
Fiat!

Amen.
