Lenten Meditation 3/8

Volume 37 – May 6, 1937
How Jesus doesn’t know what to do with a soul who does not possess Peace.  To the one who Lives in the Divine Volition God gives all His works as Gift, and even His very Life, to show her how much and in what way He wants to be Loved.

My abandonment in the Divine Will continues.  My poor mind, oppressed because of the incidents of life, too painful for me, seeks my refuge in the center of the Fiat, in which I feel as though being Reborn to New Life, rejuvenating, restored from my painful stages.  But as I soon as I move away from the center of It, my oppressions rise again, so much so that I get the just reproaches of my dear Jesus, to the point of telling me:  “My daughter, mind it, for I don’t know what to do with a soul who is not Peaceful.  Peace is My Celestial dwelling.  The little bell that calls My Will to Reign with its vibrating and sweet sounds is Peace.  Peace possesses such Powerful voices as to call the whole of Heaven, and make It stand at attention to be spectator of the beautiful conquests of the operating of the Divine Volition in the creature.  Peace puts to flight the frightening storms and makes arise the sweet smile of the Saints, the most beautiful enchantment of a Springtime that never ends.  Therefore, don’t give Me this sorrow–of not seeing you at Peace.”

So, I tried as much as I could to plunge myself in the Divine Will, to no longer feel myself, following Its Acts of Creation as well as of Redemption; and my beloved Jesus invested my intellect, and with His Creative Voice, all Love, told me:  “My daughter, leave yourself and come into My Will.  We feel the extreme need to make known where Our Love reaches for the one who Lives in It; and Our Love is so great, that We anxiously wait for her to unite herself–to identify herself with Our Works, so as to give her the right as if they were her own.  And since Our Creative Power is always in act, as she identifies herself with Us, as though renewing Our Works, We give them to her as Gift and say to her:  ‘These are your Works–do with them whatever you want.  With Our Works in your power you can Love Us as much as you want, you can give Us Glory in an Infinite Way, you can do good to whomever you want.  You acquire the right, not only of Our Works, but of He who created everything; and We take Our right over you, who are already Ours.’  How sweet are these rights of the human littleness in Our Divine Being; they are sweet and loving chains that make Us Love Our Creative work with more intense and stronger Love; and in Our emphasis of Love, We keep repeating:  ‘How beautiful she is!  She is Ours, fully Our own; and We are all hers.  There is nothing left for us to do other than to Love each other:  We will Love her with Love Eternal, and she will Love Us with Eternal Love.’”

I remained surprised, as if I wanted to doubt it; and Jesus added:  “Daughter, do not marvel–your Jesus is telling you the sheer Truth:  wanting to be Loved, I want to make known where the creature can reach and how much I Love her; and as if I were not content with Our endless Joys, We want the contentment that she may possess what We possess, and may Love Us as We can Love.  See, for the one who Lives in Our Divine Will this is almost natural:  she finds Our Fiat in act of creating the heavens, the sun, and she unites herself to that act in order to do what It does.  Our Goodness is so great, that by Our union with her We have formed our marriage together, and in Our Will We have formed the resolute act of giving heavens and sun as Gift to the creature.  With this Gift she gives Us the Glory of a heaven, stretched out; she Loves Us in every point of it; she does to the creatures the good of letting them possess and enjoy a heaven.  And since she holds the sun in her Power, she gives Us the Glory that the terrestrial globe possesses the Light; each man that remains invested by the light and heat of the sun is one more Glory that she gives Us, it is a little Love sonata that she plays for Us, that captivates Our Love to Love more.  Each plant, each fruit, each flower, fecundated and warmed by its heat, is one more cry of Glory and Love that she makes for Us.  The little bird that sings at the rising of the sun, the little lamb that bleats, are all accents of Glory and of Love that she sends to Us.  And the merit of so much good that the sun does to the earth–which is incalculable–whose merit is it?  Of the one who Lives in Our Will.  In It what is Ours is hers, and since We have no need of merits, having given her the Gift, We leave to her the meritorious part, and in exchange We want her cry of Love, always and in each thing.  The same with the good that all created things do:  the wind, the air, the water, and everything.”

On hearing this, not only was I marveled, but I wanted to raise many difficulties, and moving on to the acts of Redemption, I found myself immersed in His Pains; and my always lovable Jesus, perhaps to convince me, made Himself seen in my interior in act of suffering the painful Crucifixion.  I took part in His Pains and died together with Him.  His Divine Blood was flowing, His Wounds were open; and He, with a tender and moving tone, such that I felt my heart split, told me:  “I AM inside of you–I AM yours.  I AM at your disposal.  My Wounds, My Blood, all My Pains are yours–you can do with Me whatever you want.  Or rather, be magnanimous, be brave, act as Lover and true Imitator of Me–take My Blood to give It to whomever you want; take My Wounds to heal the wounds of sinners; take My Life to give Life of Grace, of Sanctity, of Love, of Divine Will to all souls; take My Death to make many souls who are dead in sin rise again.  I give you all the freedom–do as you please.  See to it, My daughter–I have given Myself and that’s enough.  You will make sure that everything may come back to My Glory and to make Me Loved.  My Will shall make you fly to bring My Blood, My Wounds, My Kisses, My paternal Tendernesses to My children and brothers of yours.  Therefore, do not marvel, the Divine Operating is precisely this–to constantly remain in act of repeating Its Works, to give them as Gift to the creatures.  Each one can say:  ‘Everything is mine–even God Himself is mine.’  And, O! how We enjoy seeing them endowed with Our Works–the possessors of their Creator.  These are the Excesses of Our Love–that in order to be Loved, We want the creature to find out for herself how much We Love her and the Gifts We want to give her.  Besides, with the one who Lives in Our Will, We would feel as if We were defrauding the creature, if We did not give her everything as Gift–and this We cannot do.

“Therefore, be attentive, let your soul be embalmed with Our Divine Peace–for We do not know what disturbance is–and all things will bring you the Smile, the Sweetness, the Love of your Creator.”

Lent 3/7

Isaiah 55:10-11
My word will do whatever I will.

Thus says the Lord:
Just as from the heavens
the rain and snow come down
And do not return there
till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,
Giving seed to the one who sows
and bread to the one who eats,
So shall my word be
that goes forth from my mouth;
It shall not return to me void,
but shall do my will,
achieving the end for which I sent it.

Volume 7 – November 9, 1906
Effects of meditating continuously on the Passion.

Finding myself in my usual state, I was thinking about the Passion of Our Lord; and while I was doing this, He came and told me: “My daughter, one who meditates continuously on my Passion and feels sorrow for it and compassion for Me, pleases Me so much that I feel as though comforted for all that I suffered in the course of my Passion; and by always meditating on it, the soul arrives at preparing a continuous food. In this food there are many different spices and flavors, which form different effects. So, if in the course of my Passion they gave Me ropes and chains to tie Me, the soul releases Me and gives Me freedom. They despised Me, spat on Me, and dishonored Me; she appreciates Me, cleans Me of that spittle, and honors Me. They stripped Me and scourged Me; she heals Me and clothes Me. They crowned Me with thorns, mocking Me as king, embittered my mouth with bile, and crucified Me; while the soul, meditating on all my pains, crowns Me with glory and honors Me as her king, fills my mouth with sweetness, giving Me the most delicious food, which is the memory of my own works; and unnailing Me from the Cross, she makes Me rise again in her heart. And every time she does so, I give her a new life of grace as recompense. She is my food, and I become her continuous food. So, the thing that pleases Me the most is meditating continuously on my Passion.”

A Meditation – Lent 2017

Volume 12 – 2.4.1919
“Do you see, My daughter, with what Excess of Love I Loved the creature? My Divinity was too Jealous to Entrust to the creature the Task of Redemption, and so It Made Me Suffer the Passion. The creature had no Power to Make Me die as many times for as many creatures which had come, and were to come to the light of Creation, and for as many mortal sins as they would have the disgrace to commit. The Divinity Wanted Life for each life of creature, and Life for each death which she gave herself through mortal sin. Who could be So Powerful over Me as to Give Me so many Deaths, if not My Own Divinity? Who would have had the Strength, the Love, the Constancy to watch Me Dying So Many times, if not My Own Divinity? The creature would have grown tired, and would have given up.

And do not think that this Crafting of My Divinity started late, but as soon as My Conception was Accomplished, even in the Womb of My Mama, who many times was aware of My Pains, and was Martyred, feeling Death along with Me. Therefore, even from the Maternal Womb, My Divinity took on the Commitment of Loving Executioner—but, because Loving, More Demanding and Inflexible; So Much So, that not a Thorn was spared to My groaning Humanity—not a Nail… But not like the Thorns, the Nails, the Scourges I Suffered in the Passion which creatures gave Me, and which did not multiply—as many as they inflicted, so many remained. Rather, those of My Divinity Multiplied at each offense—as many Thorns for as many evil thoughts; as many Nails for as many unworthy works; as many Blows for as many pleasures; as many Pains for as many different offenses. They were Seas of Pains, Thorns, Nails, and Innumerable Blows. In the Face of the Passion which My Divinity gave Me, the Passion which the creatures gave Me on the last of My days was nothing but the shadow—the image of what My Divinity made Me Suffer during the Course of My Life. This is why I Love souls So Much: they are Lives that they cost Me—they are Pains inconceivable to created mind. Therefore, Enter into My Divinity, and see and touch with your own hand all that I Suffered.”

Volume 22 – 6.12.1927
“…in order to maintain the Relations existing between Redeemer and Redeemed ones, and to know them, one Must study My (Jesus’) Life. Each of My Words, Works, Steps, Heartbeats and Pains were All Bonds with which I came to Bind All the Redeemed ones. But who is Bound? One who Studies My Life and tries to Imitate Me. As she Imitates Me, she remains Bound to My Words, Works, Steps, etc., Receives their Life, and Shall have the Hearing to be able to Listen to All My Teachings, the mind to Comprehend them, and the Eyes to Read All the Characters Impressed within Me in Coming to Redeem mankind. “And if the creature does not do this, the Characters of Redemption will be illegible for her; it shall be a foreign language for her, and the Relations and Bonds of Redemption will not be in Force. The creature shall always be the one who is born blind to all Our Goods with which We Wanted to Enrich her. And one who Wants to Know and Receive All the Relations and Bonds of Sanctity, Must Love the Sanctifier. The Holy Spirit puts His Flames on the Way toward one who Truly Loves, and Binds her with the Relations of His Sanctity. Without Love there is no Sanctity, because the Bonds of True Sanctity are already broken.”

Crux Fidelis! (O Faithful Cross!)

Lent is upon us once again.
Below is a little instruction on fasting and abstinence.
Keep to the tradition of the Church.

In the mysterious book of the Bible, the Canticle of Canticles, we find the trajectory of how God works with souls. It is seen in the repeated use of verbs having the first person pronoun as the their object or indirect object.

Thus,
“Let him kiss me with the kiss of his mouth …”
“Draw me: we will run after thee to the odour of thy ointments” (1:3).
“Show me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest…” (1:6).

Kiss Me, Draw Me, Show Me.
bring me into the wine cellar and put charity in order in me (cf. 2:4).
“Stay me up with flowers, compass me about with apples: because I languish with love” (2:5).
“His left hand is under my head, and his right hand shall embrace me” (2:6),

“Behold my beloved speaketh to me:
Arise, make haste, my love, my dove, my beautiful one, and come” (2:10),
“show me thy face, let thy voice sound in my ears:
for thy voice is sweet, and thy face comely” (2:14).

Embrace me, speak to me, show me thy Face…
“Catch us the little foxes that destroy the vines: for our vineyard hath flourished” (2:15).
Catch us… catch in me… the little foxes that block this loving union!

Here is the purpose of Lent summarized!
We are offered a deeper union with His Majesty…
but only if we go out in the desert and catch the little foxes inside our souls that diminish and destroy our virtues… and prevent divine union.

“The observance of Lent is the very badge of the Christian warfare. By it we prove ourselves not to be enemies of Christ. By it we avert the scourges of divine justice. By it we gain strength against the princes of darkness, for it shields us with heavenly help. Should mankind grow remiss in their observance of Lent, it would be a detriment to God’s glory, a disgrace to the Catholic religion, and a danger to Christian souls. Neither can it be doubted that such negligence would become the source of misery to the world, of public calamity, and of private woe.”—Pope Benedict XIV

Marian Movement of Priests -1996

577 September 2, 1996 Prague (Czech Republic);

The Evil of Your Century
a “Once again you find yourself here, my little son, to conduct cenacles with bishops, priests and faithful of my Movement, in these countries of eastern Europe, which have lived for many years in the terrible bondage imposed by communism and who have obtained their liberation by one special intervention of my Immaculate Heart.
b How many persecutions, acts of oppression and sufferings have these children of mine had to bear! My Church here has also been oppressed and persecuted, despoiled of its goods, crucified and led to martyrdom.
c But now you are being menaced with an even more serious and insidious danger. It is practical atheism, the evil of your century.
dPractical atheism spreads by false ideologies, by the sects, by the errors which are spreading more and more, even within the Church.
ePractical atheism has led humanity to build a civilization without God, characterized by a feverish search for material goods, for pleasures, for entertainments, and by the worship given to money and to its great power.
fPractical atheism has destroyed in many the thirst for God, has impiously led to withdraw from Him the worship due Him, to give it to creatures, even to Satan, and to live as though God did not exist.
gPractical atheism has spread everywhere the wound of unbridled egoism, of violence, of hatred and of impurity. Impurity is proposed as a value and a good, and it is propagated throughout all the mass media. Sins of impurity are presented as a way of exercising one’s personal freedom, and so impure sins against nature, which cry for vengeance in the sight of God, become justified and even exalted. The world has now been reduced to an immense desert, completely covered with filth.
h You are living under the yoke of this terrible slavery. For this reason, only the pain of the merciful chastisement will be able to free this poor humanity from the great evil of practical atheism, which has spread everywhere.
i It is my motherly duty to help you in the hours of the great purifying trial. As Mother, I am close to you to protect and assist you. And I am close to you also because my work, which I have begun in these countries, must be brought by me to its complete fulfillment.
j And this will be done when, with the triumph of my Immaculate Heart in the world, you will be completely liberated from every form of practical atheism, which has been the greatest evil of your century.”

578 September 8, 1996 Bratislava (Slovakia) Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

With the Strength of the Little Ones
a “Gather together, like fragrant flowers of love and purity, about the cradle in which I am placed at the moment of my birth. Because I am little, I am pleasing to the Lord. Because I am little, I have been destined by my God to guide the cohort of his children against the terrible army of Satan, of the rebellious spirits and of their powerful followers. With my little children, I will in the end achieve my greatest victory.
b With the strength of the little ones, I will conquer the great power of Satan, who has set up his reign in the world and has seduced, with the cup of pleasure and lust, all the nations of the earth. For this reason, with my Marian Movement of Priests, I am gathering together, from everywhere, my little children, and with joy I see that they are responding to me with generosity and in ever increasing numbers.
cWith the strength of the little ones, I will bring back to God this poor humanity, deceived and seduced by false ideologies and particularly ensnared by the great error of atheism. With it, Lucifer, the ancient serpent, Satan, has wanted to renew before God his proud challenge, bringing humanity to repeat his gesture of rebellion against the Lord: ‘Non serviam: I will not serve Him.’ And so, I gather in the garden of my Immaculate Heart the great cohort of my little children, and I offer them to the perfect fulfillment of the Will of the Heavenly Father.
d Thus, in them and by means of them, I repeat my gesture of humble and perfect availability to his Will, repeating again my Fiat: let your holy and divine Will be done.
eWith the strength of the little ones, I will heal this humanity, ill and wounded by sin, by pride, by violence and by impurity. For this, I lead with gentle firmness all my little children along the road of holiness, of humility, of love and of purity.
f And then this world will go back to being the garden, in which the Lord can once again be loved, enjoyed, served and perfectly glorified. Thus will be achieved the great victory foretold and sung in the Sacred Scriptures: ‘Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings, You have asserted your power against your adversaries, to silence the enemy and the rebel.’ (cf. Ps 8:3)
g I bless this little country which, in these days, has given such joy and comfort to my Immaculate Heart.
h You have seen, my little son, with what enthusiasm the priests and faithful have responded to my invitation to take part in the cenacles: how many graces have come down upon so many children in this country, where the heavenly Mother has received one of the greatest responses to her invitation to belong to the Marian Movement of Priests, in order to form part of the victorious cohort of my little children.”

579 September 15, 1996 Debrecen (Hungary) Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows

Share in My Sorrow
aShare in my sorrow, beloved sons. A sword continues to pierce the soul of your heavenly Mother. To the little children to whom I appeared at Fatima, I have wished to show my Immaculate Heart surrounded with a crown of thorns, in order to make them understand how numerous and painful the wounds are which cause my motherly Heart to bleed.
bShare in my sorrow, you who, through your act of consecration, are called to enter more and more into the refuge of my Immaculate Heart.
cShare in my sorrow, for the great spread of materialism and hedonism in these countries, which have lived for decades under the painful yoke of atheistic communism. My Immaculate Heart has obtained the great grace of their liberation. But the diabolic and masonic forces are being unleashed, causing to enter, into them also, the evil which now contaminates the whole world, such as materialism, the mad quest for pleasure and money, the dissolute and obscene entertainment, the pornography and prostitution. And thus these poor children of mine are again even more threatened and are running a greater danger of being lost.
dShare in my sorrow, for the spread of a subtle and insidious anticlericalism. The Church here has, for years, been persecuted, imprisoned, crucified and brought to martyrdom. I wish to recall, among all others, my beloved son, Cardinal Joseph Mindszenty, who has been a symbol and the precious victim of this bloody persecution.
e Now the Church is apparently free, but she is still being obstructed in her mission by the flood of practical atheism, by the sects, by indifferentism and nihilism among the youth, because of which many of them flee from religion and thus new vocations to the priestly and religious life are far too scarce.
fShare in my sorrow, because here Freemasonry, with its hidden power, is in control, which leads to dissoluteness, to a loss of the sense of morality, to the exaltation of sexual liberty, to the destruction of the family through divorces, birth control and these abortions which are becoming more and more widespread and legitimized.
g And so then you understand how the fall of communism, which took place here in 1989 through a special intervention of my Immaculate Heart, becomes only a sign and anticipation of my one complete and greater victory.
h This victory will take place with the fall of practical atheism throughout all the world, with the defeat of the masonic and satanic forces, with the destruction of the great power of evil, and with the full triumph of God in a world, then completely purified by the great merciful chastisement.
i For this reason, I exhort you to filial abandonment, to confidence and to a great hope. My Immaculate Heart is your safe refuge, in which by me you are consoled and defended, protected and prepared to live out the longed-for and awaited hours of the triumph of divine mercy upon the world.”

Ad S. Michaelem Archangelum. Precatio

Psalm 67

Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered: and let them that hate Him flee from before His Face!
As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

Psalm 34

Judge Thou, O Lord, them that wrong me: overthrow them that fight against me.
Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek after my soul. Let them be turned back and be confounded that devise evil against me.
Let them become as dust before the wind: and let the Angel of the Lord straighten them.
Let their way become dark and slippery: and let the Angel of the Lord pursue them.
For without cause they have hidden their net for me unto destruction: without cause they have upbraided my soul.
Let the snare which he knoweth not, come upon him: and let the net which he hath hidden, catch him: and into that very snare let him fall.
But my soul shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall be delighted in His salvation .
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

O most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in our wrestling against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places (Eph 6:12). Come to the aid of men, whom God created incorruptible, and to the image of His own Likeness He made them, and from the tyranny of the devil He bought them at a great price (Wis 2:23, Cor 7:23).

Fight the battles of the Lord today with the Army of the Blessed Angels, as once thou didst fight against Lucifer, the first in pride, and his apostate angels; and they prevailed not: neither was their place found anymore in Heaven. But that great dragon was cast out, the old serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who seduces the whole world. And he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him (Apoc 12:8-9).

Behold, the ancient enemy and murderer strongly raises his head! Transformed into an angel of light, with the entire horde of wicked spirits he goes about everywhere and takes possession of the earth, so that therein he may blot out the Name of God and of His Christ and steal away, afflict and ruin unto everlasting destruction the souls destined for a crown of eternal glory.

On men depraved in mind and corrupt in heart the wicked dragon pours out like a most foul river, the poison of his villainy, a spirit of lying, impiety and blasphemy, and the deadly breath of lust and of all iniquities and vices.

His most crafty enemies have engulfed the Church, the Spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, with sorrows; they have drenched her with wormwood; on all her desirable things they have laid their wicked hands. Where the See of the Blessed Peter and the Chair of Truth have been set up for the light of the Gentiles, there they have placed the throne of the abomination of their wickedness, so that, the Pastor having been struck, they may also be able to scatter the flock.

Therefore, O thou unconquerable Leader, be present with the people of God and against the spiritual wickedness which are bursting in upon them; and bring them the victory. The Holy Church venerates thee as its guardian and patron; and it glories in the fact that thou art its defender against the wicked powers of earth and hell. To thee the Lord has assigned the souls of the redeemed to be placed in Heavenly bliss. Beseech the God of Peace to crush Satan under our feet, that he may no more be able to hold men captive and to harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that the mercies of the Lord may quickly come to our aid, that thou mayest seize the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and satan and that having bound him, thou mayest cast him into the bottomless pit, so that he may no more seduce the nations (Apoc 20:3).

Hence confiding in thy protection and guardianship,
(for priests: by the sacred authority of our ministry,)
(For laymen: by the sacred authority of Holy Mother Church),
we confidently and securely begin the task in the name of Jesus Christ our God and Lord, of driving away the attacks of diabolical deceit.

V. Behold the Cross of the Lord, flee away ye hostile forces.
R. The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David hath conquered
V. May Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
R. Because we have hoped in Thee.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer,
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.
(for priests: V. The Lord be with you, R. And with thy spirit.

Let us pray:

O God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we invoke Thy holy name, and we humbly implore Thy mercy, that by the intercession of the Mother of God Mary Immaculate ever Virgin, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of Blessed Joseph the Spouse of the same Blessed Virgin, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and of all the Saints, Thou wouldst deign to afford us help against Satan and all the other unclean spirits and against whatever wanders throughout the world to do harm to the human race and to ruin souls, through the same Christ Our Lord,
R. Amen.

Exorcism

We cast you out, every unclean spirit, every satanic power, every onslaught of the infernal adversary, every legion, every diabolical group and sect, in the name and by the power of our Lord Jesus + Christ. We command you, begone and fly far from the Church of God, from the souls made by God in His Image and redeemed by the Precious Blood of the Divine Lamb. + No longer dare, cunning serpent, to deceive the human race, to persecute God’s Church, to strike God’s elect and to sift them as wheat. + For the Most High God commands you, + He to Whom you once proudly presumed yourself equal; He Who wills all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of Truth commands you. (1 Tim 2:4)

God the Father + commands you. The Son of God + commands you. God the Holy + Ghost commands you. Christ, the Eternal Word of God made flesh, commands + you, Who humbled Himself, becoming obedient even unto death (Phil 2:8), to save our race from the perdition wrought by your envy; Who founded His Church upon a firm Rock, declaring that the gates of hell should never prevail against her, and that He would remain with her all days, even to the end of the world. (Mt 28:20) The sacred mystery of the Cross commands you, along with the power of all mysteries of Christian Faith. + The exalted Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, + commands you, who in her lowliness crushed your proud head from the first moment of her Immaculate Conception. The Faith of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul and the other Apostles + commands you. The blood of martyrs and the devout prayers of all holy men and women command + you.

Thus, cursed dragon, and you, diabolical legions, we adjure you by the living God, + by the true God, + by the holy God, + by the God who so loved the world that He gave up His only Son, that every soul believing in Him might not perish but have life everlasting;” (Jn 3:16) cease deceiving human creatures and pouring out to them the poison of eternal damnation; cease harming the Church and hindering her liberty.

Begone, Satan, inventor and master of all deceit, enemy of man’s salvation. Give place to Christ in Whom you have found none of your works; give place to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church acquired by Christ at the price of His Blood. Stoop beneath the all-powerful Hand of God; tremble and flee when we invoke the Holy and terrible Name of Jesus, this Name which causes hell to tremble, this Name to which the Virtues, Powers and Dominations of heaven are humbly submissive, this Name which the Cherubim and Seraphim praise unceasingly repeating: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord, the God of Hosts.

V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.
(For Priests: V. May the Lord be with thee.
R. And with thy spirit.)

Let us pray.

God of heaven, God of earth, God of Angels, God of Archangels, God of Patriarchs, God of Prophets, God of Apostles, God of Martyrs, God of Confessors, God of Virgins, God Who has power to give life after death and rest after work: because there is no other God than Thee and there can be no other, for Thou art the Creator of all things, visible and invisible, of Whose reign there shall be no end, we humbly prostrate ourselves before Thy glorious Majesty and we beseech Thee to deliver us by Thy power from all the tyranny of the infernal spirits, from their snares, their lies and their furious wickedness.
Deign, O Lord, to grant us Thy powerful protection and to keep us safe and sound. We beseech Thee through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

V. From the snares of the devil,
R. Deliver us, O Lord.
V. That Thy Church may serve Thee in peace and liberty:
R. We beseech Thee to hear us.
V. That Thou may crush down all enemies of Thy Church:
R. We beseech Thee to hear us.
